Recently it came to my attention that ice cream sales have a direct correlation with crime in large cities. When sales of ice cream rise, so do crime rates. Is there really something to this? Is it the same with coffee? If it is on the other spectrum of the food scale (hot opposed to cold) could people buying more coffee reduce crime instead?
